Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia 

Due to continued growth and expansion the school is looking for more Primary Teachers to join the school at the start of the academic year 2024/25.  These are outstanding opportunities to join an expanding, talented and dedicated team.  The school aims to provide the best possible all-round education and excellent pastoral care for every child. 

Class Teachers have a responsibility for delivering the majority of the curriculum to their class, but will work closely with colleagues ensuring a collaborative approach to teaching and learning across the Year Group. The Children therefore receive the same opportunities, and all teachers feel supported by a strong team.

Arabic, Islamic, Music and PE are taught by specialist teachers to enhance the curriculum. Each class receives support from a dedicated Teaching Assistant.

You will be expected to:

  • follow the procedures for assessing, recording and reporting on children's achievements and to use this information effectively to influence future learning and convey progress in report writing;

  • provide students with regular written and oral feedback and encourage them to reflect and respond to their feedback;

  • participate fully in co-curricular and activity programmes.

Person Specification

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

You should have (essential):

  • a relevant Bachelor's Degree;

  • a UK Postgraduate Certificate of Education or Qualified Teacher Status;

  • relevant teaching experience;

  • excellent working knowledge of the UK National Curriculum;

  • a proven track record of effective teaching;

  • a strong academic background, stature and experience that will command the respect of pupils, parents, colleagues and the wider community

  • a commitment to academic progress and the welfare and safeguarding of students;

  • knowledge and understanding of recent educational developments and best practice;

 

It will be desirable if you have:

  • an understanding of the demands of a UK independent school environment;

  • experience working with children who have English as an Additional Language;

  • a secure knowledge of using technology to support Education.
